Maybe it’s just an obscure opinion here, but it seems like the IRGC is still calling the shots, and whoever is in negotiations is doing so in theory only? Hopefully this is resolved soon and as peacefully as possible.
I agree, the IRGC is in charge, but like the Dems here, there are likely two main factions, those who realize that enough is enough, and see a light at the end of the tunnel and the true believers, who would rather die than allow the Great Satans to still exist and will carry on forever. not clear who wins that battle, which will determine the outcome I think
